With our modern Giesen roasting control and sensors, we can measure the temperature of the beans inside the roaster and thus specifically delay the roasting point or the development phase after the "first crack." This gentle and very slow roasting process ensures that the beans are not roasted too hot, the aromas do not evaporate, and the individual natural taste, shaped by the different growing regions, is preserved.

All Da Salzburger® varieties are roasted using only 100% high-quality Arabica coffee in a single-origin process up to French Roast level. The result is a very digestible coffee with few bitter substances and natural coffee aroma.

The packaging
As with almost all products, packaging is an important issue for coffee to preserve quality and protect the environment. For our 500g, 1,000g, and E.S.E. PAD packaging, only Kraft paper without aluminum coating with an aroma valve is used. The 500g and E.S.E. PAD packs for private or resale have a zip closure that allows airtight re-sealing. Everything is packed by hand and marked with a wooden stamp. This avoids additional transport routes for packaging materials and also waste. Every bag is unique, and you can feel it.

Why French Roast
At this special roast level, the coffee acquires a particularly good body without exhibiting a bitter aftertaste. Bitter substances that can cause stomach intolerance are thus avoided, and the coffee can unfold its full aroma. The result: a very digestible coffee with a full body and maximum aroma.
